Liminal Pages is operated by Sophie Playle, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. The website liminalpages.com provides editorial education resources for fiction editors, including self-paced online courses, webinars and downloadable resources.

By purchasing or accessing any product or resource on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing a purchase.

2. Products and Services

Liminal Pages currently offers the following, which are available immediately upon purchase and delivered via Teachable:

Self-paced online courses (all content, excluding videos, available to download)
Pre-recorded webinars
Downloadable resources

Product descriptions, pricing and availability are subject to change. Liminal Pages reserves the right to update or discontinue any product at any time.

3. Purchasing and Payment

All prices are listed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely through Teachable, our course platform, at the time of purchase.

You will receive a confirmation email upon successful purchase. If you do not receive this within a reasonable time, please check your spam folder and contact sophie@liminalpages.com if the issue persists.

4. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of all Liminal Pages products, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges once a purchase has been made and access has been granted.

We encourage you to read all course and product descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions about whether a product is right for you, please get in touch at sophie@liminalpages.com before completing your purchase.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

5. Access and Account

For courses and webinar recordings, access is provided via Teachable. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and must not share your account with others. Each purchase is licensed for individual use only.

Liminal Pages reserves the right to maintain, update or retire course content, and will provide reasonable notice where significant changes are made.

In the event that a product is permanently retired, reasonable efforts will be made to notify enrolled learners in advance.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within Liminal Pages products – including course materials, videos, workbooks, sample texts, handouts, templates, webinar recordings and downloadable resources – is the intellectual property of Sophie Playle (unless stated otherwise) and is protected by copyright.

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for your own professional development. You may not:

reproduce, copy or distribute any course materials in any format
share login credentials or grant others access to your account
use course content for the purposes of creating your own courses, training programmes or educational products
resell or sublicense any materials from Liminal Pages

Short quotations or references for the purposes of review or recommendation are permitted (and encouraged!) with clear attribution to Liminal Pages and Sophie Playle.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Liminal Pages courses and resources are provided for educational purposes. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and quality of the content, Sophie Playle does not guarantee any particular outcome or result from participation in a course or use of any resource.

To the extent permitted by law, Liminal Pages and Sophie Playle will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of – or inability to use – any product or resource on this website.

8. Third-Party Platforms

Liminal Pages delivers all courses, webinars and resources through Teachable (teachable.com), which also handles payment processing and account management. By purchasing from Liminal Pages, you acknowledge that your data will be processed by Teachable in accordance with their privacy policy.

Liminal Pages also uses third-party tools for email communications; by joining our mailing list, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by our email platform, MailerLite (mailerlite.com), in accordance with their terms.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement. Liminal Pages is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

9. Privacy and Data

Liminal Pages collects only the data necessary for the processing and delivery of your purchase(s), and for any necessary business records. Your data will never be sold to third parties.
